Paul Scott Rhodes MD, a charter board member of Sankofa Children’s Museum of African Cultures has practiced geriatric medicine since 1978, specializing in making house calls to homebound elders in underserved areas of Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC. He is an associate clinical professor of medicine at George Washington University. Dr. Rhodes is the founder and designer of Great Huts Resort in Jamaica which aspires to honor the African ancestry of the Jamaican people. He is also the cofounder of the Port Antonio homeless shelter. In addition, he is the designer and owner of Madison House in Baltimore, a beautiful bed and breakfast facility which boasts a collection of African and Jewish ritual objects to celebrate Afro Judaic connections.
