BS Psychology from Towson University, Master in Special Education for Coppin University, PhD in Special Education Administration from Gallaudet University.
Dr. Mason carries a dual role as an educator and grant writer assessing student performance and develops learning profiles to support individualized learning. She is the Executive Director for Dayspring Education offering year-round programing that promotes children’s intellectual progress and address vital social and developmental needs. Dr. Mason is an executive function coach with Revelations Counseling and Consulting to children and adults supporting executive function and the impact it has had on learning, motivation and behavior. She also provides PTS coaching that equips teachers and support professionals to make systemic changes in classrooms.
As a senior grant writer and educational consultant to A Word to the Wise, Dr. Mason serves as a core member of strategic fundraising and communications providing services to nonprofit and for-profit businesses throughout the US. Clients have included colleges, arts/culture institutions, local community organizations, and health/human services agencies.
In addition to serving on the Sankofa Board Dr. Mason she has worked with a team led by Deborah Mason in revamping the curriculum for Sankofa visitors, specifically Central Africa, has written grants, and serves as a volunteer during special events. She is also a Stay Active Steering Committee member through Johns Hopkins University.
